WEST ANAHEIM IMPROVEMENTS BENEFIT RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES
ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 13, 2014) Residents in West Anaheim received good news this week. The West Anaheim Bike Trail officially opened, and the City received a grant for nearly $500,000 for a West Anaheim stakeholder outreach plan to identify ways to enhance the area’s economic potential to complement and support the nearby neighborhoods.
West Anaheim Bike Trail
On Monday, the West Anaheim Bike Trail officially opened. The West Anaheim Bike Trail is a 1-mile long bicycle and pedestrian paved path constructed within the Edison (SCE) Easement. The trail runs on the west side of Maxwell Park from Broadway to Orange and continues southerly on the east side of the SCE Easement from Orange Ave. to Lola Ave. The SCE Easement has a north-south orientation and is situated between Dale St. to the west and Magnolia Ave. to the east. The 15-foot wide trail offers plenty of room for children riding their bicycles to school, for residents to take a walk or run, and for families and friends to connect on a weekend. Continue reading
