ANAHEIM CITY COUNCIL LIMITS LANDSCAPE WATERING TO TWO DAYS A WEEK
ANAHEIM, CA (May 20, 2015) – The Anaheim City Council has approved an ordinance to restrict landscape watering to two days per week, in an effort to reduce daily water use during the ongoing drought. The ordinance will help Anaheim achieve its required water reduction target of 20% set by the State Water Control Resources Board.
“As a community we have made great strides in water conservation, but we are now in the fourth year of a statewide drought and we must do more to secure our water reserves today to avoid more drastic cuts in the future,” said Dukku Lee, Anaheim Public Utilities General Manager. “We encourage our customers to conserve water as a way of life, and to utilize all of our programs and incentives to achieve our city-wide goal.” Continue reading
