METRO CITIES FIRE AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES OPEN HOUSE FOR PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCH EXPLORER POST
ANAHEIM, Calif. (October 10, 2014) Metro Cities Fire Authority (Metro Net) invites young men and women who are interested in learning about a career in public safety communications to attend an information meeting on Thursday, October 16 at 7:00p.m. at the Metro Net Dispatch Communications Center located at 201 S. Anaheim Blvd., Suite 302, Anaheim, CA 92805.
The Public Safety Explorer Post is a career education program designed for ages 14-20 to highlight the many career opportunities available in public safety communications. Explorers will have the chance to learn how to provide life-saving instructions; coordinate resources for first responders during local, state and federal emergencies; utilize two-way radios and computer aided dispatch (CAD) system to relay critical information to first responders in the field; and how to work on site during a disaster.
