ANAHEIM FIRE & RESCUE JOINS ORANGE COUNTY CONSERVATION CORPS TO REDUCE RISK OF WILDLAND FIRE IN DEER CANYON PARK & PELANCONI PARK
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Jan. 12, 2016) – Anaheim Fire & Rescue is pleased to announce a collaboration with Orange County Conservation Corps (OCCC) for the removal and thinning of vegetation in Deer Canyon Park and Pelanconi Park. Beginning this week, members of the OCCC will be clearing brush and reducing vegetation in advance of the fire season starting with Deer Canyon Park. Members of the community may see and hear work being done in and around the park and its entrances between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the weekdays for the next 60 days weather permitting. 20 Corps members will be in attendance and fully supervised.
