Anaheim, Calif., Selected for U.S. Navy Band Tour

WASHINGTON — America’s Navy is coming to Anaheim, California, one of 12 cities in two states to host a performance by the United States Navy Band during its 2016 tour — one of the signature outreach programs of the U.S. Navy.

Anaheim Battle of the Bands to Take Place this Saturday at Pearson Park Amphitheatre
ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 27, 2015) Anaheim’s best middle school and high school bands will compete in the city’s first Battle of the Bands event on Saturday evening, August 29 at Pearson Park Amphitheatre. The community is invited to attend and cheer on their favorite bands. Admission is only $3 per adult, and children 8-years-and-under are free. The competition will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Battle of the Bands is sure to be a night where our Anaheim’s young musicians will continue to hone their talents. The bands will go head-to-head to win the grand prize of $500, Disneyland Resort one-day park hopper tickets for each band member, recognition at an upcoming Anaheim City Council meeting, and more. Free Summer Concerts at Pearson Park
ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 4, 2015) – Two free concerts will be held at the Pearson Park Amphitheatre this month, featuring music the entire family will enjoy. All are welcome to attend the free shows, including free parking.
The Southern California community is invited to the 3rd annual Eid Festival in Downtown Anaheim on July 18 & 19, 2015. The Muslim community will unite in celebrating their holiday, Eid-al-Fitr (Festival of the Fast-Breaking), that comes after the holy month of fasting Ramadan.
This festival, hosted right in the heart of Anaheim, will be open to the public. Admission and parking is free so bring your family and friends and enjoy carnival rides, live entertainment and diverse cultural foods. Continue reading

Hope University Presents: Christmas In The City
Please join us for Hope University’s 27th Annual Holiday Concert! It will be taking place at the Louis E. Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton (corner of Chapman & Lemon) on Thursday, December 18th, at 7pm. Doors will open at 5:30pm for holiday shopping at Hope University’s boutique, and seating begins at 6pm. This event showcases the talents of the students at Hope University, a non-profit fine arts program for adults with intellectual disabilities. Your purchase helps support our program and the artists of Hope University.
Hope University’s Holiday Boutique opens at 5:30pm, seating for the performance begins at 6pm. Show starts at 7pm, with 20 minutes for intermission. Approximate duration of the performance (including intermission) is 2.5 hours. Continue reading
