Subject: Anaheim Police Sponsor Gun Buy Back This Saturday

This Saturday, August 8, 2015, the Anaheim Police Department will hold a gun buy back at La Palma Park, located at 1151 N. Anaheim Blvd. Between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, people who would like to dispose of their unwanted firearms are encouraged to come to the north side of La Palma Park and meet with Anaheim Police Officers. REMEMBERING JACKIE ROBINSON’S VISIT TO ANAHEIM, ON MLB’S JACKIE ROBINSON DAY

ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 15, 2015) As Major League Baseball and America remember the late Baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson today, the City of Anaheim is proud to recall when Robinson spent time in Anaheim to film his biographical movie, “The Jackie Robinson Story.”

In February, 1950, Dee Fee Field at La Palma Park was selected as the location set for the Hollywood film production, to shoot scenes for the movie. The scenes shot at the park portrayed Robinson at spring training with the Montreal Royals in Florida, and the Brooklyn Dodgers in Panama. Continue reading→

The 2014 Anaheim Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is set for May 1-4, at La Palma Park, located at 1000 N Harbor Blvd, in Anaheim, near the intersection of N. Harbor Blvd and W. La Palma Ave.

Hours of Operation:

Thursday: 5:00-9:00 pm (Carnival only)
Friday: 5:00-9:00 pm (Carnival only)
Saturday: 10:00 am-8:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 am-8:00 PM

Parking is located around the Fiesta perimiter including a parking lot located off of N. La Palma Park way and additional parking at Horseman Elementary . Parking is also FREE! Continue reading→
