NEWS ADVISORY: Officials to Celebrate Opening of Kraemer Boulevard Undercrossing
WHAT: Officials from the Orange County Transportation Authority and the cities of Placentia and Anaheim will celebrate the opening of the new Kraemer Boulevard undercrossing, which separates car traffic from the busy freight rail line. Kraemer is reopening to traffic after a more than two-year closure so that the $67 million project could be completed. Temporary railroad tracks were built south of the current tracks and now rail traffic is switching back to the main line. The project was funded by Measure M, the half-cent sales tax approved by Orange County voters, and state and federal dollars. Continue reading
