Ducks Volunteers Win New Hope U Fans
Community Building and Creativity Overflow as Two Great Anaheim Institutions Come Together
Anaheim, CA – Hope University, a fine arts program for adults with intellectual disabilities, was selected this year by the Anaheim Ducks, Honda Center and The Rinks staff members as the location for a day of community service. Each year during their off-season the Ducks administrative team selects local non-profit organizations to offer their time and talents to for a day of service.
On Thursday June 26th Hope University welcomed a team of 10 enthusiastic volunteers who spent the day assisting students with art projects ranging from mosaic to the fiber arts and participating in music therapy and drumming classes. Many volunteers commented about how therapeutic and inspiring it was for them to spend the day making art, playing music, and building new friendships with the students of Hope University.
