SUBJECT: SUSPECT ARRESTED IN ANAHEIM HOMICIDE
ANAHEIM, CALIF. (Oct. 18, 2018) – Anaheim Police have arrested a suspect in the October 16, 2018 homicide of Raymond Tovar in the 2800 block of W. Lincoln Avenue. Investigators from the Crime Task Force arrested Daniel Perez, a 38-year-old Stanton resident, this morning at a motel in Stanton without incident.
APD responded to 2877 W. Lincoln Ave at 12:54 am on Tuesday morning regarding reports of a male who had possibly been stabbed. Officers found Tovar suffering from at least one stab wound. They performed life saving measures before Anaheim Fire & Rescue transported Tovar to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives launched an investigation, which led to Perez’ identification as the suspect.
