BRIGHT IDEAS BEGIN AT YOUR ANAHEIM LIBRARY
ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 21, 2014) Bright ideas and energy savings are available at your local Anaheim Library.
Anaheim Public Utilities customers can receive two free energy-saving LED light bulbs by showing picture identification and proof of address (such as a utility bill) at any of the library locations listed below, while supplies last. Limit two per household. LED light bulbs can save 85% more energy and last approximately 40 times longer than incandescent lights. Please call your local library to confirm hours of operation.
When you stop by to pick up the free LED light bulbs, be sure to also learn about all the great services offered at your local library, including downloadable eBooks, new release movies, and of course, a library card. Continue reading

ANAHEIM LIBRARY SUMMER READING PROGRAM – “PAWS TO READ”
ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 13, 2014) – One of the highlights of a child’s summer vacation is the Library’s annual Summer Reading Program. This June and July, Anaheim Library’s “Paws to Read” program will offer children a lot of fun while they learn about and interact with some of their animal friends.

ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY GIVES RESIDENTS AN E-READER TEST DRIVE AT THE TRAVELING “TECH TOOL BAR”
ANAHEIM, Calif. (July 25, 2013) Beginning today, Anaheim Public Library is pleased to offer a traveling “Tech Tool Bar” at three library branch locations, giving customers the opportunity to touch, test and compare various eReaders. The events are funded by the Friends of the Canyon Hills Library and Friends of the Anaheim Public Library. Tech-savvy volunteers and library staff will be on hand to assist, answer questions and get you started downloading and reading or listening to the OverDrive digital collection which is available free to library cardholders. ANAHEIM LIBRARY INTRODUCES ADDITIONAL OPEN HOURS AT TWO LIBRARY BRANCHES
ANAHEIM, CA – (July 1, 2013) The Anaheim Library is pleased to announce additional open hours at two Anaheim branch libraries, which gives residents more access to print, audio, video and web-based materials, as well as this year’s Summer Reading Fun program. The additional hours result from the City Council’s approved and balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2013/14, which was passed with an emphasis on strengthening city services and public safety.
