ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif., June 23, 2016 –The 28th Annual Firecracker run is taking place Monday, July 4th at the Canyon High School track at 7:00 a.m. The 5k/10k walk/ run is produced by the Anaheim Hills Community Council, together with The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, where more than 20,000 neighbors, friends and families come together to celebrate the birth of our great nation.

ANAHEIM AND CHICAGO MAYORS ENGAGE IN FRIENDLY WAGER DURING NHL PLAYOFFS
ANAHEIM, Calif. (May 17, 2015) Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel agreed to a friendly wager as the Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks open the Western Conference Finals of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs today at Honda Center.
The friendly wager will include an exchange of food and beverage, plus a contribution to a local charity. ACT Anaheim is Mayor Tait’s choice, and Becoming A Man (BAM), an organization for at-risk young men in grades 7 through 12, is Mayor Emanuel’s choice. Continue reading

ANAHEIM AND CALGARY MAYORS ENGAGE IN FRIENDLY WAGER DURING NHL PLAYOFFS
ANAHEIM, Calif. (May 1,2015) Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait and Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi agreed to a friendly wager as the Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames go head-to-head in the second round of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
If the Ducks win, Mayor Nenshi will wear a Ducks jersey at a Calgary City Council meeting, make donation for every goal scored by the Ducks in the series to ACT Anaheim, and sing “Let It Go” at a City Council meeting. Continue reading

REMEMBERING JACKIE ROBINSON’S VISIT TO ANAHEIM, ON MLB’S JACKIE ROBINSON DAY
ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 15, 2015) As Major League Baseball and America remember the late Baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson today, the City of Anaheim is proud to recall when Robinson spent time in Anaheim to film his biographical movie, “The Jackie Robinson Story.”
In February, 1950, Dee Fee Field at La Palma Park was selected as the location set for the Hollywood film production, to shoot scenes for the movie. The scenes shot at the park portrayed Robinson at spring training with the Montreal Royals in Florida, and the Brooklyn Dodgers in Panama. Continue reading

Angels Express Returns for 2015 Season
Popular service returns to Angel Stadium, beginning April 2 and 3
ORANGE – Baseball fans will again be able to hop aboard the Angels Express to quickly get to and from Angels games this season, beginning with the first pre-season home games against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3.
