Days after Anaheim Councilman Jordan Brandman betrayed his fellow Democrats and Anaheim’s Latino residents by abandoning the effort to develop City Council districts in his city he has dropped his campaign for the 46th Congressional District, according to the O.C. Register.
Brandman was recently reprimanded by the Democratic Party of Orange County when he joined in a 3-2 November Anaheim City Council vote to put the district with a majority of voting age Latino citizens on the ballot in 2018 instead of 2016.
Brandman was one of several Democrats vying to replace U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez, who is running for the U.S. Senate and is vacating her House seat. Continue reading
