SUBJECT: ANAHEIM POLICE DEPARTMENT SEEKS PUBLIC’S HELP IN IDENTIFYING ROBBERY SUSPECT
ANAHEIM, CALIF. (Oct. 17, 2018) – The Anaheim Police Department seeks the public’s help in identifying a suspect who committed two armed robberies within 20 minutes.
On Tuesday morning at 3:56 am, the suspect entered Winchell’s Donuts at 901 S. Euclid Street in Anaheim. He produced a silver handgun and demanded money, ultimately fleeing with the cash register drawer. Just 20 minutes later, the same suspect entered Vandy’s Donuts at 1007 N. Euclid Street. He again displayed a silver handgun, demanded money, and fled with the cash register drawer. Nobody was physically hurt in either crime.
The suspect is a male African-American in his 40s-50s, average build, with a thin black goatee. He was wearing black pants, a black hoodie, an orange construction vest, and white Nike shoes. The suspect fled in what is thought to be a dark colored (possibly green) 2000-2003 Mercedes ML350 with paper license plates.
Detectives are looking into the possibility these crimes are related to an additional robbery in Los Angeles County.
