On Saturday, November 19, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m, Youth-on-the-Move, Inc., will hold its 2016 International Educators’ Hall of Fame and Youth awards Ceremony at the beautiful River Arena, 201 E. Broadway, Anaheim, CA 92805–in the internationally acclaimed City of Kindness.
The International Educators’ Hall of Fame (IEHOF) scouts for the often “unsung hero” and/or humanitarian teachers/educators who went or go beyond the call of duty to serve, while often confronting many challenges.
“They deserve to be honored publicly,” says Dr. Patricia Adelekan, the founder, and, those who nominate them. Youth are also recognized and awarded at the event.
The IEHOF started in 1993, in Sacramento, California. Since then, the highly inspirational and motivational event has taken place over 10 times in Sacramento, CA; twice in Orange County, CA; once in Memphis, Tennessee at the National Civil Rights Museum (the Old Lorraine Hotel); 5 times in Cairo, Egypt for the Middle East, Africa, and Asia region; once in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA; and, 2 times in Nigeria, West Africa. To date, there are nearly 600 inductees from 26 countries and five continents in the Hall.
The public is invited to attend for FREE, and encouraged to nominate outstanding retired or veteran educators (of 20+ years–living or deceased) and youths who have gone “beyond the call of duty,” and whose legacies deserve to be preserved.
