Homicide Suspect Arrested
STANTON, Calif. (November 5, 2015) – On Thursday, November 5, 2015, Michael Anthony Aparicio, 27, Anaheim, was arrested in connection with the homicide that occurred last Saturday at the Chester Inn Motel located at 10890 Beach Boulevard. Aparicio was arrested by Sheriff’s Gang Enforcement deputies who found him sleeping in a car, near Swietzer Park in the City of Anaheim.
On Saturday, October 31, 2015, Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Unit began investigating the death of Floyd Keith Taylor Jr., 61, Stanton, found deceased inside his room at the Chester Inn Motel. The victim was found bleeding with significant traumatic injuries to his upper body. Investigators immediately began collecting evidence and obtained information about possible suspects. Aparicio and a female companion, Nicole Marie Aranda, 20, Anaheim, were identified as suspects in the homicide using video surveillance in the area.
On Wednesday, November 4, 2015, Sheriff’s investigators located and arrested Aranda at a residence in the City of Westminster. She was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters and interviewed by investigators. Aranda was arrested for outstanding arrests warrants and for assault with a deadly weapon related to the incident at the motel; however, additional charges may be filed pending outcome of the ongoing investigation.
Aparicio was arrested for murder and booked into Orange County Jail. He is currently being held on $1 million bail and scheduled to appear in court on Friday, November 6, 2015.
