A 17-year-old Anaheim male was arrested this morning on charges of felony driving under the influence and felony hit and run after he allegedly drove his car into a 33-year-old bicyclist at the intersection of West Sycamore and North Clementine Streets, in Anaheim, according to the O.C. Register.
Police have a suspect in custody in connection with a hit-and-run Sunday morning that left a 33-year-old bicyclist with head trauma and leg injuries.
The incident happened at about 6:45 a.m. Investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The Anaheim Police Department is not releasing the name of the suspect because he is a juvenile.
The bicyclist was taken to a local trauma center. He is now in critical but stable condition.
The police found a damaged silver 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse which they suspect was involved in the collision abandoned on a street nearby the site of the accident.
