Anaheim’s 24th Annual Transportation Fair, Chili Cook-off and Book Fair to Benefit Local Nonprofits
ANAHEIM, Calif. (September 14, 2015) Supporting local nonprofit organizations is fun – and tasty – here in Anaheim.
The city of Anaheim’s 24th annual Transportation Fair and Chili Cook-Off will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in downtown Anaheim on Center Street. Admission is free and chili tasting tickets are just $1 for two tickets, so come hungry!
This year’s Transportation Fair theme is Ridesharing Under the Sea, and attendees can expect a colorful and creative array of 15 chili booths competing in the categories of best tasting, best decorated, best use of theme, and more.
In addition, more than 20 booths will be on display at the Chili Cook-Off to offer information on ridesharing and other city services.
The Transportation Fair will continue with a Book Fair on Oct. 8-9 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the first floor lobby at Anaheim City Hall, located at 200 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805.
All proceeds from the Transportation Fair, including the Chili Cook-Off and Book Fair, will go to the Anaheim Community Foundation/Oak Canyon Nature Center, the Anaheim Library Foundation/Books to Read for Kids in Need, and the American Lung Association/SCAMP Camp.
Each year in celebration of California Rideshare Week, the city hosts activities to promote the benefits of ridesharing. This year, California Rideshare Week is designated as October 5-9.
