Anaheim Debuts Redesigned Website With Easier Navigation, Quick Access To Resident Services
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Aug. 28, 2015) — The city of Anaheim has launched a new website with a fresh, streamlined design that makes it easier for residents to find services and information.
The new Anaheim.net delivers quick access to the most sought-after links, an enhanced search feature and an updated design for improved navigation. The site also is optimized for viewing on smartphones and tablets.
The website is focused on city services so residents don’t need to be versed in city departments and structure to find what they’re looking for.
The redesign was a year in the making and was built on community input from surveys, neighborhood council meetings and focus groups. Residents provided input on how they use the city’s website as well as design suggestions to improve usability.
Every page on the city’s previous website was reviewed, rewritten and updated. Based on resident feedback, the city incorporated easily accessible menus with links to frequently accessed pages, a flowing, vertical design that allows you to scroll for additional content and a clearer layout for improved readability.
While the website will be intuitive for many users, the home page features a brief yet informative “Take the Tour” video introducing visitors to the site and showing how to get to commonly accessed links. View the tutorial here.
