Assemblywoman Young Kim Invites Community to “Stuff the Bus” for Orange County Students in Anaheim and Stanton
FULLERTON – Assemblywoman Young Kim (R-Fullerton) today launched the 2015 “Stuff the Bus” school donation drive to provide new school supplies to benefit K-12 students in the Anaheim and Stanton areas. Kim, along with the community partners, encourage the community to come out and generously donate pens, paper, backpack, notebooks, crayons, tissues, rulers, and other basic supplies needed at every level to help the students and families who struggle to provide them.
Stuff the Bus will help parents who may struggle to afford basic supplies. “Every child deserves a quality education to help them reach their academic potential. Stuff the Bus is a grass-roots effort to help provide the resources students and families need to help make this possible for many,” said Kim. “I encourage the community to generously donate the much-needed supplies, and I also thank my community partners for joining me in this effort,” she added.
All supplies collected will be distributed to students in Anaheim and Stanton at the conclusion of the drive.
“Giving Children Hope is thrilled to partner with Assemblywoman Kim and community sponsors to encourage the donation of school supplies for students in need,” said Christine Sanchez, Director of Community Programs for Giving Children Hope. “The Stuff the Bus Drive makes a difference for our students and is another example of our community’s ongoing commitment to support Anaheim and Stanton schools.”
