ANAHEIM FIRE & RESCUE RECOGNIZES THE PROMOTIONS OF 16 FIRE SERVICE PROFESSIONALS AND WELCOMES 19 NEW FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDICS
ANAHEIM, Calif. (May 22, 2015) –Anaheim Fire & Rescue held its Promotion & Graduation Ceremony at the City National Grove of Anaheim this morning. 16 Fire service professionals were recognized for their individual promotion received over the past year. In addition, 19 new Firefighter/Paramedics received their badges and officially joined Anaheim Fire & Rescue.
More than 350 family members, city officials and community leaders were on hand to celebrate with the honorees along with ABC7 Eyewitness News Bureau Chief Eileen Frere who served as the ceremony’s emcee.
“This ceremony represents the future of our agency,” said Anaheim Fire Chief Randy R. Bruegman. “Today we honor 16 professionals who have earned a promotion in seven different fields of expertise representing 185 years of dedicated service to our City. Their commitment to their profession has strengthened our agency and represents those that will lead this organization in the future.”

“We also welcome 19 new members to our fire family; each of them selected after a very arduous recruitment and selection process, and then successfully completing an intensive classroom and field training course over the past eight weeks,” said Fire Chief Bruegman.
