Support for Thomas Holguin Campaign Continues to Grow with Key Endorsements
ANAHEIM, CALIF – Thomas “Hoagy” Holguin, candidate for the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) Board of Trustees, announces endorsement from Honorable Tom Tait.
Thomas Holguin is the recipient of steadily increasing support from key community leaders. These are the leaders that understand the need for tough budget reductions in the right places in order to prevent cuts to programs and services which best serve the community. Two such recent supporters include County Supervisors Janet Nguyen and Shawn Nelson. While Supervisor Nguyen represents much of Central Orange County bordering AUHSD, Supervisor Nelson represents the Northern Orange County areas of AUHSD including Anaheim and Buena Park.
“I am proud to receive the endorsements from two such highly esteemed leaders who both continue to keep our County’s finances in the positive. They have extended their endorsements because they believe that I will do the same as a AUHSD Trustee,” said Thomas Holguin.
For Holguin’s entire political career, he has run on a platform of strong accountability and transparency in government. He helped achieve this as a former AUHSD trustee; he campaigned for it as a candidate for Anaheim City Council; and he insists on it as the owner/administrator of Anaheimconnected.com, an informational website that seeks to bring Anaheim residents together and help provide a voice for them.
As past President of the AUHSD Board of Trustees, Holguin was instrumental in saving over $70 million in taxpayer dollars along with staff jobs and vital school programs. These savings were accomplished by renegotiating district vendor contracts, and through the installation of a strong fiscal Citizens’ Oversight Committee for the Measure Z School Bond.
