Local Leaders Say Yes to Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva’s Re-election
Mayors and Council Members endorse Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva
Fullerton, CA- Elected officials from Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, and Stanton added their support to Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva’s re-election campaign. Endorsements from Mayors and Council Members reflect support from every city in the 65th Assembly District.
Sharon Quirk-Silva for Assembly announced the following endorsements today:

- Buena Park Mayor Pro Tem Art Brown
- Cypress City Council Member Mariellen Yarc
- Fullerton Mayor Doug Chaffee
- La Palma Mayor Steve Shanahan
- Stanton City Council Member Brian Donahue
“As Mayor of Fullerton, Sharon worked to balance the local budget and keep a healthy reserve. In the Assembly her budget priority has been to create a rainy day fund so our state can be prepared in case there is another economic downturn. Sharon continues to work with our local communities and advocates for our needs at the state level,” stated Fullerton Mayor Doug Chaffee about his endorsement of Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva.
Sharon Quirk-Silva represents Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, and Stanton in the State Assembly. Sharon grew up in Fullerton and worked as a teacher for 27 years before being elected to the Fullerton City Council where she served two terms as Mayor.
In the California Assembly, Sharon sits on the committees for Transportation, Higher Education, Accountability and Administrative Review, Housing and Community Development, Select Committee on Campus Climate, and Select Committee on Aerospace. Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva is Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee and the Select Committee on Job Creation for the New Economy.
