Believe it or not, Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles is finally opening up their new Anaheim location after two years of delays that for the most part were never explained.
The OC Weekly is reporting that Roscoe’s of Anaheim is opening up their doors on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at 8 am.
The Anaheim location is being billed as the largest Roscoe’s, according to Yelp. It is located not far from Disneyland at 2110 South Harbor Blvd.
Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles is a Long Beach, California-based soul food restaurant chain founded by Herb Hudson, a Harlem native, in 1975.
It is best known, as the name states, for serving chicken and waffles, both together and separately, although they do offer more traditional menu items as well.
Their menu includes the “Obama Special” which probably won’t go over too well here in Orange County.
Hours at the new location will be:
- Mon 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Tue 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Wed 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Thu 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Fri 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Sat 8:00 am – 8:00 pm Closed now
- Sun 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
I love me the Obama Special! The man knows how order a nice combination of chicken and waffles!
If only he was that good at running this country…
