ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES AND ANGELS BASEBALL TEAM UP FOR WATER AWARENESS MONTH
ANAHEIM, CA (May 19, 2014) ¾ In celebration of May as Water Awareness Month, Angels Baseball will be honoring the winners of Anaheim Public Utilities’ 24th Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest. The young artists, first- through eighth-grade students from Anaheim elementary and junior high schools, will receive trophies tonight, Monday, May 19, during a pre-game ceremony on the field prior to the 7:05 p.m. game against the Houston Astros. (A list of winners and their schools is listed below.)
The winning posters are on exhibit in the lobby of Anaheim West Tower, 201 S. Anaheim Blvd., for the entire month of May. They can also be viewed by clicking here.
Water Awareness Month provides Anaheim Public Utilities the opportunity to thank residents for conserving water and remind them that California’s future water supply remains uncertain, therefore judicious water use must become a way of life. The contest is part of the annual campaign to emphasize the necessity of long-term water conservation to protect water resources for future generations.
Anaheim Public Utilities encourages its customers to use water wisely. For more information about our water saving programs, call (714) 765-5029 or visit www.anaheim.net/savewater.
