IT’S NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK, AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM SAYS THANK YOU TO ALL WHO TAKE TIME TO HELP OTHERS
ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 9, 2014) National Volunteer Week is celebrated each year, and the City of Anaheim would like to thank the thousands of Anaheim men, women and youth who selflessly give of their time and talents to serve the community.
Anaheim has long embraced the spirit of volunteerism. From programs offered through City Hall, to local organizations who give their employees time to volunteer, to individuals who quietly do good deeds behind the scenes, every single volunteer act improves the quality of life for everyone involved.
“Anaheim is known for its world-class sports and entertainment, yet I am especially proud of our residents who quietly go about their day doing acts of kindness to help others,” said Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait. “In Anaheim, our core value of kindness is best demonstrated by the selfless actions of our volunteers who are in every corner of our city. On behalf of the entire City Council, we thank all the volunteers for making Anaheim a great place to live.”
