ANAHEIM MAGAZINE WINTER ISSUE HIGHLIGHTS NEW POLICE CHIEF, HELMET SAFETY, AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
ANAHEIM, Calif. – (March 7, 2014) The winter 2014 issue of Anaheim magazine emphasizes safety and community involvement with articles including an introduction to Anaheim’s new Police Chief Raul Quezada, a feature from Anaheim Fire & Rescue on how to “Wear Your Helmet like a Pro,” and a spotlight on the generous contributions of musical instruments to Anaheim’s youth.
Featured on the cover is Raul Quezada, Anaheim’s 33rd Chief of Police. Chief Quezada has worked for the Anaheim Police Department for past 18 years, and has stepped into his new position as a leader in the community.
Also included in this issue is Anaheim Fire & Rescue’s effort to promote safety through its “Wear Your Helmet Like a Pro” initiative. Anaheim Fire & Rescue is pleased to partner with Angels Baseball and the Anaheim Ducks to encourage youth to wear their helmets like a pro. These shiny, red, safety helmets are designed so youth have the needed protective gear required by many sports and play activities, thereby decreasing the risk of serious head injuries.
In addition, this issue of Anaheim magazine highlights a musical program benefitting local youth. Anaheim City School District launched an instrument donation program so elementary school orchestra programs can continue to bring music to as many children as possible. Program organizers encourage residents to give what they can to contribute to the dreams of young musicians.
