ANAHEIM, CA – (June 13, 2013) Statements of Qualification (SOQ) are now being accepted by the City of Anaheim for the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) project, specifically for Terminal Operations and Maintenance, and Indoor/Outdoor Advertising services.
ARTIC, a partnership between the City of Anaheim and the Orange County Transportation Authority, will be built adjacent to Angel Stadium of Anaheim and Honda Center on East Katella Ave. Designed to provide service for the more than 40 million visitors to Anaheim and Orange County each year as well as Orange County’s three million residents, ARTIC will house many different transportation modes when it opens in late 2014, including Metrolink, Amtrak, OCTA bus service, taxi, bicycle, international buses and tour and charter buses. ARTIC is also planned for future modes of transportation services, such as high speed rail and Anaheim Rapid Connection, as well as retail, restaurant, office and ticketing space, truly making it a multi-purpose civic space.
The City intends to solicit various support services through a long term performance-based contract taking the form of a Public-Private Partnership. A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was released by the City today and is available online at www.ARTICinfo.com.
Through this procurement process, the City desires to solicit SOQs from respondents to identify a team that will (1) operate and maintain the ARTIC facility and all capital assets, (2) design, build, finance, operate, and maintain an outdoor advertising component of the project, and (3) manage and maintain sales and assets of an indoor advertising component of the project.
