FLAG DAY AND 5K IN DOWNTOWN ANAHEIM ON SATURDAY MORNING, JUNE 8
Temporary road closure between 7:30-9:00 a.m. for race participants
ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 5, 2013) The annual Anaheim Downtown Anaheim Flag Day and 5K Run will take place on Saturday, June 8, and thousands of attendees will enjoy a morning of outdoor fun and healthy living.
Please be advised of the temporary road closure on Saturday morning for the 5K race. Commuters and participants are encouraged to plan accordingly to allow extra time to avoid the road closure.
Broadway between Harbor Blvd. and Anaheim Blvd. will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until approximately 9:00 a.m.*
The race – which will provide funds for Growth Opportunities Athletic Learning Services (GOALS), an Anaheim non-profit organization that provides afterschool programs for low-income youth – will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 9 a.m. It is expected to bring more than one thousand runners to Downtown Anaheim.
