ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES AND ANGELS BASEBALL TEAM UP FOR WATER AWARENESS MONTH
ANAHEIM, CA – (May 1, 2013) In celebration of May as Water Awareness Month, Angels Baseball is honoring the winners of Anaheim Public Utilities’ 23rd Annual Water Conservation Poster Contest. The young artists, first through sixth-grade students from Anaheim elementary schools, will receive trophies on Wednesday, May 15 during the Angels Baseball pre-game ceremony on the field prior to the 7:05 p.m. game against the Kansas City Royals. The list of the winners, their schools and their teachers can be accessed by clicking here.
The winning posters are on exhibit in the lobby of Anaheim West Tower, 201 S. Anaheim Blvd., for the entire month of May.
Water Awareness Month provides Anaheim Public Utilities the opportunity to thank residents for conserving water and remind them that because California’s future water supply remains uncertain, judicious water use must become a way of life. The contest is part of the annual campaign to emphasize the necessity of long-term water conservation to protect water resources for future generations.
By offering several water-efficiency programs, Anaheim Public Utilities encourages its customers to use water wisely. For more information about water conservation programs, call 714.765.4256 or visit anaheim.net/utilities.
