ANAHEIM INTRODUCES BUSINESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Helping build business from concept to reality
ANAHEIM, CA – (March 29, 2013) The City of Anaheim is proud to introduce a new program designed to help businesses grow from concept to reality – the Business Assistance Program.
The Business Assistance Program offers resources and informational links beneficial for both aspiring and veteran business owners in the process of constructing a new business, or remodeling or expanding an existing business within the City of Anaheim.
A key element is the personal – or concierge – service provided to business owners.
Knowing how to start the construction development process for a business is one of the first steps for many entrepreneurs. As business owners submit into the process, they will be assigned a Business Solutions Specialist – a one-point contact from plan submission to final inspection. The Specialist will be available to answer questions, monitor the progress of projects, and link communication between City staff and business owners.
The Specialists will also coordinate among City departments and connect the business owners to external agencies involved in the process, including helping with business license applications and renewals, as well as connections with Anaheim Public Utilities, Orange County Environmental Health and the Orange County Sanitation District.
The Business Assistance Program webpage offers a singular resource for necessary forms and permit applications, thereby adding to the ease of obtaining all necessary information for the permit process and creating a “one-stop-shopping” experience. No longer will business owners need to track down the various necessary documents and information. It’s all at your fingertips at the Business Assistance Program website.
The Business Assistance Program was approved by the Anaheim City Council, as part of Mayor Tom Tait’s Regulatory Relief Task Force recommendations. “We want Anaheim to be known throughout the state as the freest, most business-friendly city in California…the place where dreams are built,” said Mayor Tait during his 2013 State of the City address.
