SUBJECT: APD DETECTIVES SEEK WITNESSES TO SERIES OF VICIOUS ATTACKS
ANAHEIM, CALIF (May 31, 2018) – Anaheim PD Homicide Detectives are looking for witnesses who may have seen all or portions of a series of vicious attacks which occurred earlier today. At 10:43 am,APD received calls of a subject being assaulted in the parking lot of King Pollo, 530 N. State College Boulevard. Moments later,additional calls were received of another assault occurring in front of El Pollo Loco, 1098 N. State College Boulevard.

At 0244 hours on Friday morning, the Anaheim Police Department received a 911 call from an employee inside the Walgreen’s reporting that the store had just been robbed at gunpoint.
As officers were arriving they saw three male African-Americans running from the store. The suspects entered a silver Dodge Charger and a pursuit ensued. Continue reading

At approximately 9:38 pm on Saturday night (4/28/18), the Anaheim Police received a 911 call of a possible auto vs pedestrian hit and run on Brookhurst Street south of Ball Road., according to the Anaheim Police Dept.
Responding units located a male adult in the roadway suffering from major injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim is a male believed to be in his 50’s. His identity is not being released pending notification to next of kin. Continue reading

DUI/DRIVER’S LICENSE CHECKPOINT
ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 19, 2018) – The Anaheim Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint Friday April 20, 2018 on Euclid Street south of La Palma Avenue between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 3:00 A.M.
The deterrent and preventive effects of DUI checkpoints make them a proven resource in reducing the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol or drug involved crashes. Research shows that crashes involving an impaired driver can be reduced by up to 20 percent when well-publicized DUI checkpoints and proactive DUI patrols are conducted routinely. DUI Checkpoints are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests, affording the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence. Irvine, Calif. (March 28, 2018) – The suspect in an Anaheim Police Department officer involved shooting Tuesday night has been identified as Kenneth John Yamashita-Magarro, 24. Magarro has two no-bail felony warrants in Orange County for drug-related crimes and is on formal probation.
On Tuesday at around 10 p.m., an Anaheim Police Department helicopter was following a black Nissan Altima that was driving erratically and in excess of 100 miles per hour on I-405. The helicopter requested units to respond. Prior to those units arriving, the vehicle crashed on I-405 at Jamboree, near the Von Karman overpass. The suspect fled the vehicle and was located shortly thereafter in the area of Von Karman and Quartz. Continue reading
A man named Nicolas Castillo, 29, was arrested at his fiancé’s home, near a home on the 2200 block of Woodley Avenue in Anaheim, by the SAPD today, after an informant told police officials that Castillo was looking to have sex with any 4-year-old, according to KTLA.
Santa Ana police and FBI officials served search warrants at the Woodley Avenue home, and another home in Yorba Linda that is also associated with Castillo and is across the street from Bryant Ranch Elementary School, according to ABC. Continue reading
