The unions lined up to attack John Moorlach in the Special Election for the 37th State Senate District – and they were joined by loathsome lobbyist Curt Pringle and a slew of special interests. But Moorlach prevailed tonight, edging out the union-backed Don Wagner with 50.4% of the vote, as per the O.C. Voter Registrar.
In the end Moorlach garnered 34,208 votes and Wagner netted 29,987 votes. The other candidates, Naz Namazi and write-in Democrat Louise Stewardson, didn’t matter as they combined for about 3,700 votes total. Continue reading
