CITY OF ANAHEIM ALERTS RESIDENTS OF IMPERSONATORS AND FRAUD EFFORTS
ANAHEIM, CA – (January 3, 2014) Anaheim Public Utilities and the City’s Public Works department are alerting residents about the potential for impersonators representing Anaheim employees and contractors working for the City in different scenarios.
Individuals impersonating Anaheim employees or City contractors have contacted homeowners indicating that tree maintenance in the homeowner’s backyard needs to be performed on behalf of Anaheim Public Utilities. Please note that any landscape contractor working for the City of Anaheim will have proper identification and provide it upon request. If concerned, residents are encouraged to call the Public Works information line at 714-765-6860 and the City will confirm if work is being planned for your neighborhood. Continue reading
