Anaheim’s 24th Annual Transportation Fair, Chili Cook-off and Book Fair to Benefit Local Nonprofits
ANAHEIM, Calif. (September 14, 2015) Supporting local nonprofit organizations is fun – and tasty – here in Anaheim.
The city of Anaheim’s 24th annual Transportation Fair and Chili Cook-Off will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in downtown Anaheim on Center Street. Admission is free and chili tasting tickets are just $1 for two tickets, so come hungry!
This year’s Transportation Fair theme is Ridesharing Under the Sea, and attendees can expect a colorful and creative array of 15 chili booths competing in the categories of best tasting, best decorated, best use of theme, and more. Continue reading

Three Proposed District Maps Are Focus of Anaheim’s Historic Election Update Process
Advisory Committee Urges Participation in Final Two Meetings
ANAHEIM, Calif. — (Sept. 4, 2015) The focus on maps representing proposed Anaheim City Council voting districts has narrowed from 30 to three — with the possibility of additional revisions during two final community meetings in September.
All proposed election district maps remain under consideration and will continue to be discussed, reviewed and refined at a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Electoral Districts on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m., at the Loara High School auditorium. Continue reading

Anaheim Battle of the Bands to Take Place this Saturday at Pearson Park Amphitheatre
ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 27, 2015) Anaheim’s best middle school and high school bands will compete in the city’s first Battle of the Bands event on Saturday evening, August 29 at Pearson Park Amphitheatre. The community is invited to attend and cheer on their favorite bands. Admission is only $3 per adult, and children 8-years-and-under are free. The competition will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Battle of the Bands is sure to be a night where our Anaheim’s young musicians will continue to hone their talents. The bands will go head-to-head to win the grand prize of $500, Disneyland Resort one-day park hopper tickets for each band member, recognition at an upcoming Anaheim City Council meeting, and more. Free Summer Concerts at Pearson Park
ANAHEIM, Calif. (August 4, 2015) – Two free concerts will be held at the Pearson Park Amphitheatre this month, featuring music the entire family will enjoy. All are welcome to attend the free shows, including free parking.
- Saturday, August 8 – an Elton John Tribute Band starring Kenny Metcalf as Elton and the “Early Years Band” will perform.
- Saturday, August 15 – “Santana Ways” The Ultimate Santana Tribute Band will take the stage.
The Anaheim Police Department’s 2015 National Night Out is set for Tuesday, August 4th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Stoddard Park, located at 1901 S. Ninth Street, south of Katella Ave., in Anaheim.
