Stanton man gets death penalty for sexual assault/murder of Anaheim prostitutes

SANTA ANA – A jury recommended the death penalty today for a man convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering a woman, raping three others, and physically assaulting a sixth victim after being linked to the crimes through DNA and forensic evidence. Waymon Livingston, 29, Stanton, was found guilty by the same jury Feb. 27, 2013, of one felony count of special circumstances murder in the commission of sodomy, three felony counts of forcible rape, and one felony count of aggravated assault. He is scheduled to be sentenced April 26, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. in Department C-30, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana. Continue reading

The Anaheim Outdoors Connectivity Plan website (www.anaheimoutdoors.net) recently received an Award of Excellence from the California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS), in the category of Marketing and Communications. The award was presented this past weekend at the 2013 California and Pacific Southwest Recreation and Park Training Conference in San Jose, CA.
The Anaheim Outdoors Connectivity Plan is a citywide project aimed at creating green space in the City, and residents are encouraged to participate in current and future planning of outdoor space in Anaheim.
