A 24 year old Anaheim man has been arrested for felony suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs following a late night collision that injured six, including the arrested suspect.
At 11:45 pm, Friday night, APD and Anaheim Fire & Rescue units responded to the intersection of Orangewood Ave and Manchester after receiving multiple calls of a major injury collision. Arriving units found a black 2014 Dodge sedan struck a black 2019 Honda Fit in the intersection. Both vehicles then struck a utility pole causing major damage to both vehicles and seriously injuring the occupants of both vehicles.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Dodge, Leobardo Robledo, was driving southbound on Manchester and entered the intersection of Orangewood Ave on a red light, striking the Honda, which was lawfully in the intersection traveling eastbound on a green light. Robledo was alone in the Dodge, while the Honda contained five young adults, including four 18 year old males and one 18 year old female, all of whom are residents of Utah.
All of the injured parties were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. All are considered to be stable, except for the female passenger of the Honda who is in critical condition with potentially life-threatening injuries. Robledo is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and has been arrested for felony driving under the influence and driving under the influence causing serious bodily injury or death.
