At 0244 hours on Friday morning, the Anaheim Police Department received a 911 call from an employee inside the Walgreen’s reporting that the store had just been robbed at gunpoint.
As officers were arriving they saw three male African-Americans running from the store. The suspects entered a silver Dodge Charger and a pursuit ensued.
The vehicle traveled at high speeds w/b on the 91 freeway into the city of Compton. The vehicle stopped and several suspects fled on foot.
In all three males aged 17, 18, and 19 and one female aged 24, were taken into custody by APD with the assistance of LASD and LAPD. One suspect believed to be a male Black in his late teens escaped.
Cash and a handgun was recovered in the vehicle.
Detectives are working with law enforcement from other jurisdictions to determine if the suspects have been involved in additional crimes. The suspects have not been booked yet so their names and charges are not available. Due to the ongoing investigation, booking photos will likely not be released and video surveillance from the store will not be released at this time.
