Subject: ANAHEIM GANG INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN 5 FEDERAL INDICTMENTS AND 29 CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS
ANAHEIM, CA – On Wednesday March 23, 2016 the Anaheim Police Department, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) concluded a multi-year investigation into narcotic sales and street terrorism crimes perpetrated by members of two criminal street gangs in Anaheim.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the United States Attorney’s Office issued federal indictments against five defendants for Distribution of Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine.
Those defendants are:
- Delia Partida, 38, resident of Anaheim, Distribution of Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine
- Antonio Partida, 32, resident of Anaheim, Distribution of Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine
- Augustina Ortuno, 52, resident of Anaheim, Distribution of Methamphetamine
- Juan Casillas, 30, resident of Anaheim, Distribution of Methamphetamine
- Uriel Castaneda, 37, resident of Anaheim, Distribution of Methamphetamine
Bail was set at $25,000 for Delia Partida and $105,000 for Augustina Ortuno. Bail has not been set on the remaining federal defendants. The defendants are being held by federal authorities in Santa Ana. At the request of the United States Attorney’s Office, the booking photos for the federal defendants will not be released.
In addition, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office issued criminal complaints against 29 defendants for the sales of narcotics and transportation of narcotics. Several of the complaints included felony charges related to gang activity.

- Adrian Najera, 26, resident of Anaheim, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale and felonious gang activity
- Jorge Torres, 39, resident of Anaheim, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale and Transportation for a Controlled Substance
- Evelyn Espinosa, 21, resident of Anaheim, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
- Araceli Lara, 23, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance for Sale
- Vianey Lara, 22, resident of Anaheim, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale and Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Luis Campillo, 23, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Bosco Parrales, 26, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, and felonious gang activity
- Ricardo Tapia, 28, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, Sales of a Controlled Substance, felonious gang activity
- Lauren Carrera, 20, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Juan Herrera, 32, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Daniel Espinoza, 30, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Pedro Lara, 26, resident of Anaheim, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale and Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Rogelio Viramontes, 19, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, and felonious gang activity
- Alejandro Ramirez, 20, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, Sales of a Controlled Substance, and Felonious Gang Activity
- Jose Ruiz, 35, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Eric Porras, 18, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, and felonious gang activity
On Wednesday morning, law enforcement officers from across the county conducted a sweep for those involved in the case. Of those listed, Uriel Castaneda, Juan Herrera, Daniel Espinoza, Pedro Lara, Rogelio Viramontes, Alejandro Ramirez, Jose Ruiz, and Eric Porras were already in custody. In addition to those listed two 17 year old males were arrested and booked at Orange County Juvenile Hall for Transportation of a Controlled Substance, Sales of a Controlled Substance, and felonious gang activity. The remaining suspects were all arrested in Anaheim, with the exception of one of the male juveniles who was arrested in Orange, Ricardo Tapia was arrested in Buena Park, and Juan Casillas was arrested in Los Angeles.
All of the State defendants were booked at Orange County Jail with bail set at $50,000, with the exception of Rogelio Viramontes, Eric Porras, and Juan Gomez Virgen who are held without bail. Additionally, the following defendants were not located and are being sought on warrants:
- Alejandro Aguirre, 55, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Eduardo Hernandez, 21, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Francisco Cervantes, 39, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Himmer Lara Lopez, 25, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Juan Gomez Virgen, 19, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, and felonious gang activity
- Hector Reynoso, 22, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Leonard Marshall, 63, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance
- Jeanette Garcia, 21, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, and Sales of a Controlled Substance
- Alejandro Apolonio, 20, resident of Anaheim, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, and Sales of a Controlled Substance
