Residents Gather for Neighborhood Clean-Up Event
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2016) — Anaheim residents are partnering with Anaheim Beautiful, the Anaheim Rotary Club and city staff this Saturday for a neighborhood clean-up event in the Balsam-Curtis area.
Neighborhood clean-ups help instill community pride as well as make neighborhoods safe, clean and attractive places to live. This is the second clean-up event in this area conducted as part of Anaheim Beautiful’s Adopt-A-Neighborhood program, chaired by Anaheim Mayor Pro Tem Lucille Kring.
The Balsam-Curtis neighborhood is near the corner of State College Boulevard, Romneya Avenue and Placentia Avenue The meet-up area is on the corner of Balsam and Curtis streets. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon.
Anaheim Beautiful’s mission is to promote and enhance the beautification of the city of Anaheim. Teaming up with the Anaheim Rotary Club in 2009 in this same area, the Adopt-A-Neighborhood program was a great success. Rotary is returning to the same neighborhood this year to continue what they started and support the residents in beautifying their neighborhood.
