Anaheim Hills 4th of July Celebration!
Get ready for a 4th of July Race like no other! The Anaheim Hills Firecracker 5K/10K Run/Walk kicks off an entire day of Fourth of July festivities celebrating the birth of our great nation. Test your endurance in the Anaheim 5k or Anaheim 10k then enjoy an array of 4th of July activities in Anaheim. The day’s events include a delicious pancake breakfast served immediately following the race, a Yankee Doodle Dog show, a 4th of July parade, and a food festival with live entertainment at Peralta Park culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.

Our Annual Firecracker 5K/10K event brings thousands from Anaheim Hills and surrounding communities. Grab your running shoes, your patriotic spirit, and bring the whole family. Start this year’s 4th of July the right way! All runners win a Finisher medal.
Active Military Run for FREE
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to all veterans and military personnel… especially on our nation’s Independence Day. As a thank you, all active military personnel run for free!
- Dress up for the Firecracker Run and you could WIN a PRIZE
- Show your patriotism! This year, our judges will be looking for the best UNCLE SAM and LADY LIBERTY… So grab that top hat and liberty torch because the race is on! Be creative and be proud to be an American!!!!!
- A prize will be given to the “Best Dressed” in both UNCLE SAM category and LADY LIBERTY category.
- PANCAKE BREAKFAST – 7:30am – 9:30am
After a good run/walk, we know you will be craving a delicious breakfast of freshly made pancakes and sausages. The Canyon High School Football Team is partnering with the AHCC and Rotary to bring you our annual Pancake Breakfast. See you there!
The 4th of July holiday is fast approaching!!! The Anaheim Hills Community Council together with the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day with a number of events that the entire family can enjoy!!
The Parade Route is changing!! The parade will start at Canyon High School, will go East on Santa Ana Canyon Road and end at Quintanna. The new route allows for more shade and spectator viewing space. So grab your lawn chair and find your favorite viewing spot along the new parade route.
“Grand Old Flag”. In tune with our theme this year, there will be hundred flag bearers from Canyon High School and volunteers proudly carrying our American flag. Respectfully representing our local fallen heroes are their family members who will be carrying banners honoring our 5 fallen heroes. Bagpipers from the Long Beach Fire Department will accompany the families of our fallen heroes. In addition, there will be 72 banner bearers proudly representing our military currently in service.
We are excited to announce the Torres family as our 2015 Grand Marshall. Travis “Coach” Torres and his wife Cindie Torres both come from a strong military background.
The Torres family has proudly served our Country in almost every major conflict and war since World War I. Travis is a Marine Desert Storm veteran who also took part in the Restore Hope Somalia. Travis’ father is a Vietnam Veteran, his great uncle was a WW1 Veteran and his uncle who served in the Army. Cindie’s father served in the Army in the Korean War. Her uncle was in WWII Air Force and another uncle served in Iwo Jima during World War II and lost his arm after being shot. Their son Tony has served two tours with the Army in Afghanistan. He is on his second enlistment with the Army as an Airborne infantrymen.
Travis & Cindie own and operate Bear Pit, a gym that provides services to our community. They also cater to active duty military, police and fire personnel. They have a pre-military program to help young men and women prepare for boot camp and are in the process of starting a disabled veterans program.
Travis and Cindie have raised their combined family of 5 children since 2002. They started Bear Pit in 2010 in a 600 square foot facility and expanded to a 3,500 square foot facility. Together they have helped many community members to lose weight, gain strength and confidence, improve overall health and be a part of the Bear Pit Family!!

We have the honor to have the best of the best from Seattle…….Seattle’s All-City Marching Band led by Marcus Pimpleton. For over 60 years students from throughout the greater Seattle area have come together each summer to form the Seattle All-City Marching Band. An educational program that stresses musicianship, leadership, dedication, and pride. Seattle’s All-City Marching Band performs extensively throughout the Puget Sound region and in recent years has traveled to California, Hawaii, Washington D.C., and New York.
Our local heroes…..Crescent Crazy Stackers!!! Crescent Elementary School’s Crazy Stackers Robotics Teams A and B, led by teacher Natalie DePalma, were winners at the VEX World’s 2015 competition in Kentucky in April this year. Competing against more than 80 elementary school teams from 29 nations, Team A won the VEX IQ Challenge Elementary School Teamwork Challenge, becoming world champions for the second year in a row. Team B received the highest honor at VEX Worlds – the Excellence Award. This award exemplifies overall excellence in building a well-rounded VEX robotics program. VEX Worlds is a gathering of top robotics teams from around the world presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation and the Northrop Grumman Foundation.
Heard about The Los Angeles ClipPercussion Band? This entertaining act is something that needs to be seen to believe and can’t avoid being heard….literally. The Los Angeles ClipPercussion is a group of professional drummers known for high-energy, trick-filled “don’t try this at home” type performances.

Starting at 4:45 there will be bands playing country, rock, blues, funk and soul.
MerleJagger – combining influences from Merle Haggard to Mick Jagger, this talented and energetic Los Angeles based band has headlined for years at the Ranch Party in Los Angeles and toured the country playing their own brand of originals and classic country covers.
Formed in 2007, The Bang Brothers is the ultimate rock cover band performing songs of John Waite, David Bowie, Aerosmith. Foo Fighters, Incubus, Don Henely, Billy Idol and more!!
Detour 91 local Anaheim Hills teen band formed in 2012 plays rock, funk and blues. They will captivate you with their soulful and lively tunes, strong musicianship and charismatic stage presence.
